I fully agree, I have always thought of vintage as anything of 1 or 2 generations old, so 20-40ish years, after that I would call it an antique.Seaside Siblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05071175461608577274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972257727447072884.post-59492851472837402762010-09-18T15:05:27.468+12:002010-09-18T15:05:27.468+12:00I reckon vintage is kind of an aesthetic in it'...I reckon vintage is kind of an aesthetic in it's own right now. People get all uptight about what post modern is too. It seems to depend on the context it seems to me.In some contexts the definition is very proscribed, for example in architecture or art history, but in other contexts it seems to be more widely interpretted. So maybe vintage is a bit the same. To me it's a look, a vibe, a way of being, rather than a proscribed set of dates. So I reckon the actual decade is probably a bit irrelevant if you love vintage 'cos it makes you happy!magpie chichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10581726079731396861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972257727447072884.post-45054322884623221652010-09-17T19:14:16.078+12:002010-09-17T19:14:16.078+12:00cars have set periods to be vintage they were made...cars have set periods to be vintage they were made between 1919 and 1930, pre 1919 is veteran, 1930-39 are pre war, post war is up to 1960, and then its p60 or classics... Heck that even means I am vintage at 26...

And don't you hate it when people hide behind that 'anonymous' thing. Pretty rude to say something malicious and then hide your face, if you know what I mean. Some people huh? As the old cliche goes...
